Student Officer

Students applying for a position as a Student Officer must register along with a letter of application and their MUN-Director’s recommendation. Letters of application should include a candidate’s MUN experience and language qualifications. Letters of recommendation should outline a candidate’s leadership abilities, academic performance, school and extra-curricular activities.
Candidates living in Athens must be prepared to attend 4 workshops prior to the conference, and first-time student officers must take a written test and an interview. Candidates from outside Athens must be at our school one day before the conference for preparatory meetings. Their attendance is mandatory.
Greek candidates who are not native speakers of English must have the Cambridge Proficiency certificate and prior MUN experience.
All Student Officers are expected to write explicit background papers prior to the conference, help delegates with their research and in the preparation of the resolutions, guide their delegates during the conference, and provide help in the lobbying process as well as during debate.
